Zephiel,

sorry that people are not being very helpful with your questions. This is because it may look as if you have an assignment to complete, and want other people to do it for you.

I'm sure this isn't the case, so here are some answers to your questions:

Why were lights going on all down the street?

Because it was Christmas.

What does Faber recommend to Montag?

That he set up a used bookstall in the centre of town.

What does millie seem most upset about?

Millie resents her name, and gets really upset when people call her Mildred.

whom does Beatty assign to burn the house?

Charlene 'Charlie' McGee.

What is the last thing Beatty says to Montag?

"Laters"

What time is it in the morning?

10.46 EST

When Beatty strikes Montag on te head, what happens?

It rings like a bell. A firebell.

What does Beatty say he'll do about the two way radio?

Get if fixed, just as soon as he can get the spares from Radio Shack.

what does the hound do when it arrives to stop Montag?

It wags its tail, and pants happily. In response, Montag pets it and says, "Good doggy!"

I do hope these answers are useful to you. Good luck with the assignment.

Phil, Once again you have so cordially come to the assistance of a budding RB fan. Beneath these "leads" into the deeper meaning of the novel, what you have presented is a metaphor for the awakening of a potential Montag. Well done! Ironic!

I am sure Z's answers in class will be presented with an air of confidence second only to Beatty's when he stated:
"It's not owning the books that's the crime, Montag, it's reading them! Yes, that's right. I own books, but don't read them! Don't you see the beauty of it? These books die on the shelves. They are no better than dust."

We all hope this helps!

More like the teenage girl on "Married...With Children" who sang the "Gilligan's Island" theme song in class after her brother convinced her it was a book report for "Robinson Crusoe." She got a lecture from the principal: "A three-hour lecture. A three-HOUR lecture."

I knew I got the idea from somewhere, but I couldn't remember where. I am proud to follow in Bud Bundy's footsteps.
