No fair! You're just denying it because you don't want to breach a confidence. But I prefer to believe it, 100%!

'Blue Child'...
...a rather lengthy short story, was actually privately published without Ray Bradbury's knowledge, by a mere aquaintance of Vonnegut. The info that it showed up as a 'Twilight Zone' script consideration is somewhat true. It was actually something to do with the printer, a Grant Dahlstrom, his brother that is, who doctored the script into a screen treatment. That it was printed thru 'Ampersand Press', a much reputable small press, gave it special credence. It even gets more complicated. It hit 'The Twilight Zone' offices before the actual arrival of the script by Bradbury and Vonnegut. The confusion that ensued created such a mess that 'Blue Child', tho a wonderful story (actually with many similarities to 'The Blue Pyramid'), was never seriously considered for production. Serling, on the other hand, had said in closed company that HE himself was actually the author, that he probably talked too much about his ideas amongst the wrong people, and unfortunately the story idea found its way into publication, tho a 'private press' at the time. The argument that it was really an extension of Ray's original story, 'The Blue Pyramid', seemed to affect Serling with the notion that that story too was an original effort of Serling's.

Now, is any of the above true? You decide.

You guys ought to be writing for the Enquirer. If it's now too credible to have you, try the lesser tabloids.
