regarding Ray Bradbury Dedications compiled by douglasSP
I grew up in LA walking distance from the public library on Olympic Blvd near Ripau. The library was right across the street from Los Angeles High School, "LA High", where Dobie Gillis was filmed in the late 50s or early 60s. Ray Bradbury attended LA High in the 1930s. I was a Bradbury devotee at the age of 10 or 11 and I read a bunch of his work, much of it while sitting at the library. I recall seeing in one of his books Ray's dedication to a high school English teacher recognizing her inspiration and encouragement. Another young reader had penciled in "yeah, I had her too; she was awesome!" I have looked online in vain to find her name. One of Ray's biographers names two candidates, both were English teachers of Ray's at LA High: Jennet Johnson and Snow Longley Housh... I found the douglasSP post of Ray Bradbury dedications and thought I might add to it. P.E.
