Vacation in the Golden Age
In one of my favourite blogs, Jamie Todd Rubin is reviewing ASTOUNDING SCIENCE FICTION magazine from its "golden age" period, which he dates from 1939 and the first publication of A.E. Van Vogt's "Black Destroyer".

His blog has now reached July 1942, and the first appearance in this hard SF magazine by a little known writer by the name of Ray Bradbury. You may have heard of him.
