In the 1980's, years after Rod Serling's passing, the TWLIGHT ZONE series was revived. Harlan Ellison served as a creative consultant on the TWILIGHT ZONE revival. Per Alan Brennert, a writer on the revived series, Harlan Ellison took Ray Bradbury out to lunch and convinced him, despite his unhappiness over his treatment by Rod Serling on the original series, to contribute a script to the TWILIGHT ZONE revival. The result was "The Elevator", a genuinely creepy story that, at least for me, was reminiscent of Ray's early WEIRD TALES stories. It was the only script that Ray wrote for the revived series. For those who have never seen the episode, it can be viewed by clicking on the link below:

The attached link will take you to interesting review of the only episode of THE TWILIGHT ZONE revival written by Ray Bradbury, "The Elevator". The reviewer notes that while he believes the episode is not totally successful, he concludes that this is primarily a matter of execution (especially the effects) and writes, "But Bradbury did his bit and delivered a fun and macabre story with a meaningful sting in the tail." (And I personally enjoyed this episode very much!)
