Ray's visit to Bakersfield.
I had the honor of seeing Ray in Bakersfield, CA last Monday. (After 20 years of wanting...) I think my children (12 & 15) enjoyed it more than I; so much of what he said I already knew. What was great is that he speaks like he writes (or vice versa)- very poetical. On the bad side, the book signing was very poorly organized, a bit of a mob scene. But, he did sign two of my favorite books, Dandelion Wine and his Complete Poems (which he said was like him, "falling apart"). They said he'd been ill, but he seems very vigorous to me considering his age and past health. May he live forever-

Wow that is extremely interesting I wish that I could meat the man who wrote all those great novels. Something Wicked is so far my favorite.
