In my opinion (and heaven knows, we all have them), the one actor who should play Beatty in a re-make of FH451 is Sean Connery.

I'm gonna have to go along with an idea someone else posted somewhere along the line: and that is that Gene Hackman should play Beatty, and Kevin Spacey should play Montag. For some reason, I just don't see Stallone as the right kind of guy for Beatty--I don't know, maybe it's just his voice. I'm not sure about Faber, but I think Morgan Freeman could work.

Great pictures, fjpalumbo! Thanks for posting them! And for those who may not know, the gentleman in the suit and glasses behind Ray in a couple of the shots is Patrick, Ray's driver and friend (and himself a poster on this message board). Patrick is the man who likely saved Ray's life by rushing Ray to the hospital after his stroke a few years ago, for which all who love Ray owe Patrick an unrepayable debt of gratitude!

I also noticed there were several kids there. I'm glad to see that a new generation is learning all about our hero. And it was nice to see Patrick and put a face to a name. Thanks for all you've done, Patrick!

Jets just passed over low from our nearby military base - we read that exact F451 passage in a Sr. Lit. class about 15 minutes ago... ironic!

Ray speaks his mind, loud and clear, about Michael Moore in the Washington Post.

Bradbury Fired Up Over Moore

Famed sci-fi writer Ray Bradbury is not very happy with filmmaker Michael Moore.

The 80-year-old author is peeved that Moore's latest documentary, "Fahrenheit 9/11" -- which just picked up the highly coveted Palme d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival -- is trading on the title of Bradbury's famous 1953 novel "Fahrenheit 451."

"Michael Moore is a dumb [expletive], that's what I think," Bradbury told the Swedish newspaper Dagens Nyheter during a phone interview from Los Angeles. "He stole my title and changed the numbers without ever asking my permission."Not one to hold back, Bradbury said he tried to contact Moore's production company to express his grave displeasure, but to no avail. It would be nice, he added, if Moore changed the title of his soon-to-be released film.
