Thank heavens for the holiday season: time to work on my website. I've just updated, with lots of new material on Ray Bradbury Theater, the Alfred Hitchcock TV series and other bits and pieces.

I'm testing the site out on a new server. Please try this and let me know what you think: http://bradbury.mysite.freeserve.com

OK, so the new server's not so hot. Too slow, permanent ad banner, rollover images not working. Grrr...

So my site is now back where it was before. More new material added, with more on the way in the next few weeks. Please drop by at: http://home.wlv.ac.uk/~in5379/

Why don't you buy a hosting? Is it too expensive?

I actually have perfectly good, free hosting on wlv.ac.uk (it's the server of the university where I work). I tried the other server because it happens to be free as part of my ISP package.

My only problems with wlv.ac.uk are that the URL is so ugly and that I sometimes need the server space for other things.

However, I'm planning to get me a decent domain name any day now... watch this space.

philnic:

I use somebody named, 'Apricot Hosting'. About $14.00 a month. It's been trouble free....
