Coming soon, a TV series called THE WHISPERS, apparently based on Bradbury's "Zero Hour". (Probably in the same sense that the film A SOUND OF THUNDER was based on Bradbury's "A Sound of Thunder" - i.e. it's in there somewhere, but don't expect it to feel like Bradbury!)
I haven't seen much about this until now - and I can't help wondering whether we have a BEAST FROM 20,000 FATHOMS situation here (studio develops film/series, someone points out that it's a lot like Bradbury; someone says "Oops" and hurriedly buys the rights to the Bradbury story).I don't KNOW, but I do wonder...

Does anyone else remember the short-lived ABC television series, THE WHISPERS? It was loosely based on Ray Bradbury's great short story "Zero Hour", and its executive producer was none other than Steven Spielberg.
