The Whispers = Zero Hour
Coming soon, a TV series called THE WHISPERS, apparently based on Bradbury's "Zero Hour". (Probably in the same sense that the film A SOUND OF THUNDER was based on Bradbury's "A Sound of Thunder" - i.e. it's in there somewhere, but don't expect it to feel like Bradbury!)

More on my blog:

I haven't seen much about this until now - and I can't help wondering whether we have a BEAST FROM 20,000 FATHOMS situation here (studio develops film/series, someone points out that it's a lot like Bradbury; someone says "Oops" and hurriedly buys the rights to the Bradbury story).I don't KNOW, but I do wonder...

Of course, Serling's approach was just to ignore the fact.

Who else watched? Let's be sure to have this bumped by each Monday so everyone can remember to watch!

Three pages of Internet Movie Database comments after one episode.

How long before or after Ray's death was this in the works?

Does anyone else remember the short-lived ABC television series, THE WHISPERS? It was loosely based on Ray Bradbury's great short story "Zero Hour", and its executive producer was none other than Steven Spielberg. It debuted in June of 2015, and was cancelled after one season (13 episodes). To read more about the history of the series, click on the link below:

Finally, for those who would like to view the show, the episodes are available by pay-for-view via a number of streaming services. The cost is generally around $1.99 per episode:

Back when it was on I didn't watch all 13 episodes.
