last may, i attended reay bradbury day in torrance, california. i can't find any info on this years event. does anyone know anything about this? he has done it every year for the past 50 years.

Well, a few weeks ago at the Friends of the Library in South Pasadena, the mayor proclaimed "Ray Bradbury Day" there.

Don't know if that was a replacement for the one of which you speak or not.

A woman who is a friend of a lady who puts on the event, and was there last year, was at a bookstore I haunt on Tuesday. She recognized me from last year (not sure if that is a good thing or not) but commented they were still working out scheduling conflicts.

Haunt is a good word.
