I seem to recall a Bradbury story that was a response to Arthur C. Clarke's "The Star" -- the gist was that the civilization destoyed by the supernova had somehow known that their destruction would be the Messiah beacon to another world and so were at peace with it. Am I just dreaming here or did Ray write such a thing?
