What you see is only the tip of the Volcano,
that's why there is a well earned jovial grin
all you would need is a white beard, and red fur trimmed suit, and he'd make a big jolly holiday literary ELF. LIVE FOREVER RAY

I just ordered my copy of "An Illustrated Life" from Amazon and am eagerly awaiting its arrival. All reviews have been stellar.

Just took a glimpse at several very nice photos from the new text on ebay (this IS NOT a promo for the site).

It looks like a really great effort - one worthy of "the man"!!

Hi-

Greg Miller posted the following regarding "An Illustrated Life", if you would like to order a copy.

**********************************
I thought everyone would like to know that Ray is making an appearance/signing at Children's Book World on Saturday, November 2nd, from Noon-2pm. The store is located in the Los Angele Area. He'll be signing copies of "Bradbury - An Illustrated Life: A Journey to Far Metaphor" (which is absolutely beautiful, by the way).

As an additional bonus for all those who cannot attend (me inclued--I live in Pittsburgh, darn it!) the store is taking orders for anyone who wants a signed and/or inscribed copy. Simply follow the link below and give them a call! http://www.childrensbookworld.com/Calendar/calendar.htm

This book looks great. Who's the publisher? Is it in storefront bookstores yet i.e. Borders, Barnes and Noble, etc.?

I "just" unwrapped William Nolan's "The Ray Bradbury Companion" (1975) after a careful search that took a number of weeks and many additional messages. I found a very nice (clean and firm) copy via "Classic Books" out of Michigan.

Now I understand how Dandelion has been able to keep up over the months with all of our Q's on such varied topics related to RB. (As well as her fine working knowledge - of course!)

With the release of Illustrated Life, we should have plenty to ponder for a very long time indeed. LIVE FOREVER! - what an
anthem!

I look forward to have "RAY BRADBURY" flaired across the title pages of both of these rare wines in the very near future!

(PS. Nice info above on the signing and mailing procedures for A.I.L.: JTFM!)

Nevermind, I found it myself: William Morrow and Co. (publisher of An Illustrated Life.)
