LSMFT = "Lucky Strike Makes Fine Tobacco"

There was a naughty parody of that, which I can't remember. Sophmoric, adolescent pun at best.

There was one for CAMEL cigarettes too. It went front-to-back and back-to-front. Something like "Can Adam Make Eve L??? Like Eve Makes Adam C??"

Asimov was big on puns and dirty limmericks. He wrote two books filled with them. They didn't sell very well, but that couldn't stop him. A lot of those oldschool SF writers were into puns and dirty limmericks. Must be a geek thing.

Hey! That's "Lucky Strike Means Fine Tobacco"!
(And I know the sophomoric naughty version, but I won't post it. Not really that awful, though.)

Grassy, when you click on reply, the window that appears should have little boxes across the top that you can click on to choose italics, bold, etc.
Now, for some reason, here at work, these boxes have little icons in them that indicate (reading from left to right)Instant Graemlins, Color-UBB Code, URL, Bold, Italics, strikethrough, quotes, Start List, Insert email address, display image, and code. (No clue as to what some of these mean.)
At home, though, I end up with empty boxes, but they still work...

I thought it was "Lucky Strike Mighty Fine Tobacco", no?

I'll have to have another look at my old Jack Benny Show episodes on DVD featuring the original tobacco adverts.

I have researched the issue, and discovered that back in 1947, the Lucky Strike ad campaign used the phrase "Mighty Fine Leaf", hence my confusion.

reseached is a good word too, lol.

She stood silently looking out into the great sallow distances of sea bottom, as if recalling something, her yellow eyes soft and moist...

If you watch those, you'll no doubt get the jingle that goes: "Luckies taste better - cleaner, fresher, smoother..."

reseached (v. colloquial, orig. Reese + ache, usually spelled "reeseached") - Pain experienced in the nerves of the teeth (or stomach) after consuming a popular chocolate and peanut butter confection (Reese's Peanut Butter Cups or Reese's Pieces). E.g. "Last Hallowe'en I ate so many Reese's Pieces I reeseached all night!"
