Dreadful film! I was invited to a private screening of one of Mr B's films a few years ago, and when asked what he thought of the film, he replied that he thought that Mel Gibson should burn his film Passion, and release his film instead! That got quite a laugh from the audience.

is this just because you hate Catholics, and the idea of CHRIST? does the idea of giving yourself to something bigger then yourselves upset you? or the idea that there could actually be something bigger the yourself?
btw heard a wrinkle in time flopped hard. something about them taking any christian ideal or reference from the work. turning it into a self discovery instead of good conquering real evil. anyway, play along now children

but why?

There are so many things wrong with this reply, I don't know where to begin.

Not sure what this post has to do with A Wrinkle in Time.

No. I was once a Roman Catholic. I still have a soft spot in my heart for that organization to an extent.

I certainly don't hate the idea of Christ! I adore the Christ. He was amazing and one we should all emulate.

We should all give ourselves to the Christ. The Godforce is all and we need to be absorbed into it.

I am a Christian, and even hold a theology degree from seminary, which is one of the reasons I hate that horrible film. It literalizes something that should never be literalized. The extreme right-wing "Christians" are trying to steal Christianity from us and I won't stand quietly by. The Christ I follow is nothing like the Jesus of the right. In fact, I believe that the right would crucify Jesus if he were around today - the radical, socialist, feminist, dark-skinned Jew would have taken his whip to Donald and his kind and in short order.
