Here are a series of photos from Ray’s Party. I’m sure other board members will be posting better ones than here but I hope you enjoy them anyway. Both parties were beautiful. Ray was in rare form despite our having a touch of Mid-West weather. Who has even heard of clouds in August???

Photo #16 has a fellow poster and his family in the forefront. That's (posting as fjp451) Frank Palumbo and his family, Jennifer his wife; in the red, Francesco; and Cristiano. He teaches high school English way out East. In town just for Ray's birthday.

Nard, thanks for jogging my memory. Frank and crew also attended the theatre event and his was the class that made the posters. Those posters traveled by train all the way from Upstate New York.

Hey JKT, thanks for the wonderful photos. And thanks for taking the photos of Frank and his family. I have always wondered what they looked like after having talked with them over the years on the phone. The nice thing about talking with you John, on the phone, is that I know what you look like.

Ray did look particlulary fit and happy as should an 89 year-old. And thank you for your continued support of Ray and his many fans throughout the world.

Frank! You have a wonderful family there, and I am so glad you were able to be here, and it was nice to chat with you at the play. This is a day you'll always remember!

Nard! Thanks for coming up. Nice to see you again, as always.

jkt! As always, a pleasure.

patrask! Where were you?

library! Were you about?

I'm sorry that I disremember the board name of my Canadian friend whom I met. Re-introduce yourself.

PS: I was never entirely sure whether to believe Mr B's Bo Derek anecdote. But I believe it now.

From her lips to the audience's ears. She told the story to the assembled crowd.

I was there in spirit, as always, just a little under the weather lately. No poem this year either, I will have to work hard for next year.
Regards to all who made it.
